Our Employment and Labour Relations Group efficiently and effectively addresses all matters arising from employment relationships. Applying our expertise and wealth of experience, we help our clients prepare for legislative changes and draft employment, consulting and independent contractor agreements. We also advise clients planning to dismiss employees, consultants or independent contractors on structuring appropriate termination strategies, enforcing their proprietary rights and responding to claims and other forms of complaint. We routinely represent clients before Ontario and Federal courts and before numerous administrative bodies and tribunals.

Because proactive strategic planning can minimize or even prevent many labour and employment problems, we work closely with employers to design effective strategies for maintaining non-union status and dealing with trade unions and government agencies and ministries. We conduct a range of management and employee training programs to help our clients avoid many of the problems employers face, including occupational health and safety orders and prosecutions and charges and complaints or claims regarding employment standards, sexual or racial harassment, discrimination and wrongful dismissal.
